We have been told that our FIs do not make bad loans. But in case an anomaly presents itself, Single Source has a fully integrated loan tracking and collection system. Single Source does not delete the loan, it simply changes its “state of the loan.” The loan will continue to accrue interest, although G/L will not recognize most likely uncollectible interest. The loan will also allow other charges like attorney fees to be accumulated. Collection activity can be retained within the loan. The loan can be kept on the system forever. This will allow the bank to collect on bad debt 10 or 20 years old or at least not loan the same person money 10 to 20 years later.
